When we originally started planning our wedding from across the country, we figured that we could get away without a day-of coordinator. I had a clear vision of what I wanted, and didn't know if I could trust someone else to transform my rough sketches into reality. Even though our intention during our first meeting with Michelle was just to see what a day-of coordinator could offer, we were instantly impressed and convinced that we needed her help for our wedding. Michelle has an instinctive sense for how much to insert herself, knowing where I wanted to take the lead and where I'd benefit from extra help. During our meetings and through email, it was clear that she wanted only to make our day as special as we pictured it could be, and spent time with us beforehand going through all the details so that we wouldn't have to worry on the day-of. Proof of her focus and attention to our plans is evident in how smoothly our communication with her was, and ultimately, how beautiful our wedding ended up being. Michelle's organization is balanced by her flexibility: she answers emails at an astounding speed (especially considering our three hour time difference!), and graciously accommodated our hectic schedule once we were in town. She even transported some of the larger items we'd neglected to figure out how to get to the venue! The day itself was wonderful - our venue was beautifully decorated just as we wanted, and we stayed close to schedule. We owe so much of that to Michelle and A Dream To Call Your Own!
